Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor grows naturally on the table mountains of Venezuela. The standard bud at the top of the plant contains the nectar glands with which insects are lured. Cups of Heliamphora are much harder than those of Sarracenia. These plants like a lot of light, so the plant will turn red. Compared to other carnivorous plants, the Heliamphora can be kept somewhat drier. Do not keep these plants in a layer of water constantly.
