Grown from seed collected from plants growing alongside the drainage ditches feeding the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. The parent plants reach over 90cm high with robust pitchers. This is very majestic plant and one of our favourites. The tall traps turn a deep rich red but retain some minor spotting at the back of the trap. A good vigorous grower with the traps lasting well over the winter. A large deep red flower. Superb colouration with copper/red tops and white windows at the back and extending down the tube. Extremely vigorous. A late season plant. Traps are produced later than eg Sarracenia flava, but stay well into the autumn/winter. Traps reach 60cm.
