Compost & Sundries

Carnivorous plants naturally come from nutrient free soils that are generally acidic- It is the reason they have become carnivorous in the first place. It is important to use a compost mix that has been formulated for carnivorous plants and has no lime or fertiliser added.

Carnivorous Plants Compost & Sundries

The compost we sell is the same as we use on the nursery. Over the years we have formulated the best mix for the plants we grow and know you will get good results with our compost.

We also offer various sundries that are selected to create your own compost, like dried sphagnum moss, perlite and bark. Various sowing and growing trays are selected to grow your own Drosera, Dionaea or Sarracenia from seeds. Water trays are quite effective for keeping carnivorous plants, as almost all plants like to be in a layer of rainwater.
