Sarracenia minor (Hooded Pitcher)

A very distinctive species also known as the Hooded Pitcher Plant. The top of the trap curls over to form a cowl and the back of the trap has transluscent white windows which allow light into the trap. The effect when you look through the entrance underneath is quite incredible. It is one of the last species to come out of dormancy and flowers late in the season with pale yellow flowers.
