Sarracenia rubra ssp gulfensis

A very vigorous plant, quickly dividing to fill its pot. Produces a mass of small slightly scented dark red flowers on slender stems. Lovely dark red colouration with almost black veining on the trap Pitchers up to 35cm tall. Provides vigour to hybrid offspring. Excellent windowsill plant. Lovely redveined pitchers up to 35cm. Produces red flowers. Vigorous.Sunny position.Stand in 2-5cm rainwater. Allow to die down in winter and cut off brown parts of trap. Watch for botrytis.Keep damp but don't stand in too much water.Keep sheltered, but no heat needed over winter. Compost: 6:2:1peat:perlite:sand
