This form of oreophila has very attractive red veining. One of the hardiest Sarracenias S. oreophila has distinctive curly winter leaves (phylodia) Produces its best traps early in the season along with its pale yellow flowers.Makes a good parent for hybidising as it produces vigerous fast growing hybrids that often have a long growing season. Very hardy and wind resistant.
